Hey there — we’re Mindy & Rick Day, a husband-and-wife photography team based in beautiful Nova Scotia.
Together since 2016, married shortly after, and raising our favorite little sidekick, Jack, we’ve built a life around love, laughter, chaos, and storytelling.
Mindy brings the energy and creativity, while Rick is the calm, observant one catching the moments others miss. Together, we create a relaxed, fun experience and photograph weddings with a true-to-life, emotion-filled approach.

A Glimpse Into Our Love Story
It all started with a catch—we met while fishing… on a dating app (POF, to be exact). Our first official date was on May 14, 2016, and by July 21, we had already bought our first home together. Fast forward to August 27, 2016, and we were saying "I do." Just four days before our wedding, we got the biggest surprise of all—we found out we were expecting our son, Jack, who arrived in April 2017 and completely changed our world.
One of the things we love most about our journey together? Our ability to laugh at ourselves and never take life too seriously. It keeps things fun, spontaneous, and full of joy—just the way we like it!
